Article R4451-27 of the French Labour Code

The provisions of this paragraph apply in the case of mobile or portable equipment emitting ionising radiation where the effective dose assessed at 1 metre from the source of ionising radiation is greater than 0.0025 millisieverts integrated over one hour. Article R4451-28 of the French Labour Code

I.-For the equipment mentioned in Article R. 4451-27, the employer shall identify and define an operating area such that the effective dose at its periphery remains below 0.025 millisieverts, integrated over one hour. II – When the equipment is used inside a supervised or controlled area already defined for another source of ionising radiation, the employer must adapt the definition of the operating area.

Article R4451-29 of the French Labour Code

I – The employer shall restrict access to the operation zone to authorised workers only. II – The procedure used to identify each operating area and to define the technical and organisational measures adopted by the employer must be recorded in a form which allows consultation for a period of at least ten years.
