Chapter III: Information for foreign creditors and declaration of claims

Unless otherwise provided by this chapter, the provisions of articles R. 624-1 to R. 624-11 shall apply to foreign creditors.

The judicial representative shall inform foreign creditors of the opening of the insolvency proceedings, of the obligation to declare their claims, of the deadline for declaring claims and of the penalties incurred if the deadline is exceeded by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or, if they have consented, by electronic mail with acknowledgement of receipt.

The time limits provided for in articles R. 622-22 and R. 622-24 may not be invoked against creditors who have not been informed in accordance with the procedures provided for in article 54 of the aforementioned regulation.

Claims shall be declared in the French language or accompanied by a translation into the French language. The creditor may produce a translation of the claim declaration and supporting documents until the juge-commissaire makes a decision.
