Section 2: Reduction in the number of candidates

The purchaser may limit the number of candidates admitted to tender or to participate in the dialogue under the conditions defined in this section.

Where the purchaser intends to limit the number of candidates, it shall indicate in the tender notice the objective and non-discriminatory criteria it intends to apply, the minimum number of candidates it intends to invite, which may not be less than three, and, where appropriate, their maximum number.

Where the number of candidates satisfying the selection criteria and the minimum levels of capacity is less than the minimum number, the purchaser may continue the procedure with these candidates.
