Any staff representative who, during his term of office, no longer fulfils the conditions laid down in Article R. 6156-47 for sitting on the section for which he was elected or who has been dismissed shall automatically cease to be a member of the Commission. Representatives of the administration, whether full or alternate members, who definitively cease the functions for which they were appointed are replaced. The term of office of their successors expires when the National Statutory Committee is renewed.

The national statutory committee meets when convened by the director general of the Centre national de gestion.

The secretariat of the national statutory commission is provided by the Centre national de gestion. The members of the national statutory commission and the staff who provide its secretariat are bound by professional secrecy with regard to all facts and documents of which they are aware in their capacity as such.

Full or alternate members whose dossier is submitted to the committee for an opinion may not take part in the deliberations on the entire agenda item that concerns them.

Members of the National Statutory Committee must be provided with the documents they need to carry out their duties.

The National Statutory Committee may only validly deliberate if at least half of its members, plus the Chairman or his alternate, are present. The chairman appoints rapporteurs from outside the committee; the appointed rapporteurs do not have the right to vote.

Members of the National Statutory Committee do not receive any allowances in respect of their duties. They are entitled to travel and subsistence expenses in accordance with the conditions laid down for civil servants.
