Paragraph 2: Managing pharmacists

The provisions of article R. 5126-38 are applicable to the in-house pharmacies of the fire and rescue services.

I.-The pharmacy for internal use is managed by a fire brigade pharmacist as referred to in article R. 1424-25 of the general code for local authorities. The pharmacist’s time spent in the pharmacy for internal use may not be less than the equivalent of five half-days per week. The pharmacist in charge of managing an in-house pharmacy of a fire and rescue service is appointed by the chairman of the board of directors of this service.

Whatever the cause and duration of the absence of the pharmacist in charge of managing the pharmacy for internal use, he shall be replaced under the conditions defined by the statutory provisions applicable to him or by the contract binding him to the employer. Replacement pharmacists are fire brigade pharmacists. The replacement pharmacist is subject to the same service obligations as the pharmacist he replaces.
