Subsection 2: Installation and operation

The premises of the internal-use pharmacy may be located on the same site as a pharmaceutical establishment of the central army pharmacy or an army health service medical supply establishment.

The design and surface area of the premises are adapted to the technical activities involved in preparing the products mentioned in Article R. 5126-95 and storing them with a view to supplying them to the facilities to be served.

The provisions of articles R. 5126-21, R. 5126-22, R. 5126-23 with the exception of the second paragraph, R. 5126-29, of article R. 5126-32 under the conditions provided for in its III, of article R. 5126-34 and of II of article R. 5126-36 are applicable, as far as it is concerned, to the pharmacy for internal use of the central pharmacy of the armed forces. In order to enable the competent departments to check that the pharmacy for internal use of the central army pharmacy complies with the provisions of Articles R. 5126-97 and R. 5126-98, the Minister for Defence shall send the Minister for Health the following information: 1° The location or locations of the pharmacy’s premises; 2° The locations of the facilities it supplies; 3° A list of the pharmacy’s activities and missions;…

The Minister for Health shall inform the Minister for Defence, for each of the locations of the pharmacy for internal use, of the conclusions of the competent departments regarding compliance with the provisions of articles R. 5126-97 and R. 5126-98 by the central pharmacy of the armed forces and, if necessary, shall ask him to take the necessary corrective measures.
