Subsection 5: Other pharmacists practising in a pharmacy for internal use

Where the scale of the pharmacy’s activity so requires, one or more assistant pharmacists shall assist the pharmacist in charge. Where the pharmacy has associate assistants or associate practitioners, this number is taken into account when determining this number.

Assistant pharmacists who are absent for more than one month, for whatever reason, shall be replaced. They shall be replaced in accordance with the statutory provisions applicable to them or the contract between them and their employer.

Assistant pharmacists and the pharmacists who replace them in the internal use pharmacies set up in prisons by virtue of article R. 5126-24 must, in addition, meet the conditions of practice set out in article R. 5126-47.
