Section 1: Failure by the foreign national to cooperate and enforce the removal order

Article L824-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A foreigner is liable to three years’ imprisonment if he fails to present to the competent administrative authority the travel documents required to enforce an administrative ban on entry, a decision to expel, a measure to escort to the border or an obligation to leave French territory or, in the absence of such documents, fails to provide the information required for enforcement or provides inaccurate information about his identity.
