A foreign national who has obtained stateless status and has been issued with the temporary residence permit referred to in article L. 424-18 or the resident permit referred to in article L. 424-21 may apply for family reunification, under the same conditions as those laid down in articles L. 561-2 to L. 561-5 for a foreign national who has obtained refugee status.

Articles L. 561-6 and L. 561-7 apply to unaccompanied minors who have been recognised as stateless.

Unless there are compelling reasons of national security or public order, a foreign national who is recognised as stateless and holds a valid residence permit may be issued with a travel document known as a “stateless person’s travel document” authorising them to travel outside French territory.
