Section 2: Reception conditions

The provisions of Title V shall apply to foreign nationals whose application for asylum is being examined under the jurisdiction of another State, subject to the provisions of this section.

When the examination of the asylum application falls within the jurisdiction of another European State, the accommodation facilities mentioned in Article L. 552-1 receive asylum seekers until they are transferred. Their mission ends on the date of the actual transfer to this State.

When the examination of the asylum application falls within the jurisdiction of another European State, payment of the asylum seeker’s allowance provided for in article L. 553-1 ceases on the date of transfer to that State.

The conditions under which, when the foreign national is notified of a transfer decision taken pursuant to article L. 572-1, the asylum seeker’s allowance provided for in article L. 553-1 may be adapted or replaced by material aid, are defined by decree.
