Article L531-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Where France is responsible for examining the asylum application, the foreign national submits his application to the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons within a time limit set by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
