Foreign students on a programme mentioned in article L. 422-5 who can prove that they have sufficient means of subsistence will be issued with a multi-annual residence permit marked “student-mobility programme”, subject to legal entry into France. The administrative authority may grant this residence permit without the condition set out in article L. 412-1 being applicable.

Higher education institutions are responsible for the preventive health monitoring of foreign students.The conditions for applying this section, in particular with regard to the resources required, the conditions for enrolment in an educational institution and those relating to foreign nationals who have been admitted in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/801 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2016, are specified by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
