Subsection 2: Prohibition on movement on French territory

The administrative authority may, by reasoned decision, attach to the decision imposing an obligation to leave French territory issued on the basis of 2° or 3° of Article L. 251-1 from being banned from travelling on French territory for a maximum period of three years.

The administrative authority may revoke the ban on movement on French territory at any time. When the foreign national applies to have the ban on movement on French territory repealed, his application is only admissible if he can prove that he has been residing outside France for at least one year. The sixth paragraph of Article L. 251-1 and articles L. 251-3, L. 251-7 and L. 261-1 are applicable to the ban on movement on French territory.
