The French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons thus is managed by a Director General appointed by decree, on the joint proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister responsible for Asylum. .

The expenditure of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons is covered by a State subsidy.
