Section 2: Nominations.

For natural persons engaged in the commercial fishing activity provided for in Article L. 931-1 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, the two-year seniority period provided for in Article L. 713-4 begins to run from the date on which the person concerned operated their first vessel.

No withdrawal or replacement of a candidacy shall be accepted after its registration. The refusal to register a candidature may be contested by the candidate or his proxy under the conditions provided for in the penultimate paragraph of Article L. 265 of the Electoral Code. The application is registered if the administrative court has not ruled within three days of the application being lodged.

Candidates for a territorial chamber of commerce and industry who have received at least 5% of the votes cast in that election may obtain reimbursement of their campaign expenses from the territorial chamber of commerce and industry.
