Article L4022-7 of the French Public Health Code

Periodic certification standards define, for each profession or speciality, the actions mentioned in I of article L. 4022-2.
I.- On a proposal from the Haute Autorité de santé and after obtaining the opinion of the Conseil national de la certification périodique, the Minister for Health shall determine the method for drawing up the periodic certification reference frameworks provided for in article L. 4022-7. I.-The competent professional bodies shall monitor compliance by healthcare professionals with their obligation to undergo periodic certification. Failure by a healthcare professional referred to in article L. 4022-3 to comply with this obligation shall constitute misconduct liable to result in disciplinary action as provided for in Part Four of this Code. The actions carried out by healthcare professionals as part of their obligation to undergo periodic certification are recorded in an individual account, the content, terms of use and access to which are defined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat. Individual accounts are managed by an administrative authority designated by decree.
A decree in the Conseil d’Etat shall set the conditions for the application of this section, in particular: 1° The conditions and procedures for creating, using, accessing and consulting individual accounts; 2° The procedures for financing the system; 3° Adaptations to the specific characteristics of healthcare professionals covered by the provisions of article L. 4138-2 of the Defence Code.
