At its request, the commune or public establishment for inter-communal cooperation or the department may be given responsibility by the departmental or territorial fire and rescue service for a major repair, extension, reconstruction or equipment operation for a fire and rescue centre existing at the date of the provision. Independent of the agreement provided for in Article L1424-17, and at any time, the transfer of assets to the departmental or territorial fire and rescue service may take place in full ownership. An agreement sets out the terms of the transfer of ownership. This transfer does not give rise to the collection of any duty, tax or fee.
