Paragraph 7: Special conditions for the "pneumology" option

In addition to the premises provided for in article D. 6124-177-1, the authorised site includes: 1° Areas required for bronchial drainage, massages and exercise training; 2° An emergency room equipped to perform emergency and respiratory resuscitation procedures, in particular tracheal intubation, nebulisation of bronchodilators, nasal oxygen therapy and continuous monitoring of oxygen saturation.

I.-The holder of the authorisation has the following on site: 1° A technical platform for functional respiratory explorations enabling a flow-volume curve to be produced; 2° Access to non-invasive ventilation; 3° Oxygen therapy. II.-The holder of the authorisation provides access, on site or by agreement: 1° To functional exploration during exercise ; 2° the initiation of non-invasive ventilation.

In addition to the teams provided for in article D. 6124-177-3, the multidisciplinary team includes: 1° At least one physiotherapist; 2° At least one dietician; 3° At least one psychologist. Members of the multidisciplinary team are trained in the use of the equipment used to perform the emergency and respiratory resuscitation procedures provided for in article D. 6124-177-36.

The coordinating doctor specialises in : either in respirology; – or in physical medicine and rehabilitation, in which case he or she must have training or proven experience in respirology; – or in general medicine, in which case he or she must have training or proven experience in respirology and rehabilitation; -in general medicine, in which case they must provide evidence of training or experience in respirology and rehabilitation. Depending on the patient’s clinical condition, the authorisation holder offers each patient care in at least two of the following therapeutic areas: physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy, psychomotor therapy, psychological care, therapeutic education and adapted physical activity.

Care is organised in such a way that, depending on the patient’s clinical condition, at least two sequences of treatment, including at least one of masso-physiotherapy, are provided each working day in the case of full hospitalisation, or each time a patient is admitted to hospital on a part-time basis.
