Paragraph 3: Special conditions for the "geriatrics" option

In addition to the premises provided for in Article D. 6124-177-1, the authorised site includes areas adapted to the specific needs of patients, particularly those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders.

The authorised site provides access to a neurocognitive platform, either on site or by agreement.

I.- In addition to the teams provided for in article D. 6124-177-3, the multidisciplinary team includes: 1° At least one physiotherapist; 2° At least one occupational therapist; 3° At least one dietician; 4° At least one psychologist. The coordinating doctor specialises in geriatrics or has proven training or experience in geriatrics.

Depending on the patient’s clinical condition, the authorisation holder offers each patient treatment in at least three of the following therapeutic practices: -masso-physiotherapy; -ergotherapy; -dietary therapy; -psychomotor therapy; -orthophony; -psychological care; -adapted physical activity.

Care is organised in such a way that, depending on the patient’s clinical condition, at least two sequences of treatment, either individual or collective, are given to each patient every working day in the case of full hospitalisation, or every time a patient comes for part-time hospitalisation.
