Subsection 3: Operation

The Commission for the Protection of Access to Works is convened by its Chairman, who sets the agenda. It may only validly deliberate if at least half of its members are present or represented by proxy. The committee decides by a majority of the votes of the members present or represented by proxy.

The committee chairman represents the committee. He signs the Board’s decisions. He signs the briefs submitted in appeals against the decisions of the Board.

The terms of remuneration for the chairman and members of the Commission for the Protection of Access to Works are set by order of the Minister for Culture.

The Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée provides the material, human and financial resources required to carry out the tasks of the Commission de protection de l’accès aux œuvres (Commission for the Protection of Access to Works) and to process and pay for appeals and legal costs relating to its decisions.
