Paragraph 2: Interventional radiology activities

The authorisation holder ensures that data from professional practices is collected and analysed with the aim of improving practices and risk management.

The performance of any complex medical procedure must comply with recommendations for good practice or be the subject of a collegiate decision.

The authorisation holder shall put in place a procedure to ensure that each member of the team has mastered the requirements of their duties before taking up any independent post. This procedure takes into account the experience of the professional concerned. The procedure is reassessed and, if necessary, modified in the event of a change of equipment, major modifications to the structure or a prolonged interruption in activity.

The authorisation holder is subject to the obligation of quality assurance defined in I of Article L. 1333-19.

The authorisation holder must ensure that the equipment is connected to a system for archiving and sharing images in order to improve the quality of care and the relevance of the procedures performed.

For activities falling under categories B, C and D as provided for in Article R. 6123-166, the authorisation holder must ensure that the equipment used to expose patients to ionising radiation is connected to a system for the systematic collection and archiving of dosimetric data.
