Article 211-8 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The French participation includes all French and foreign financing provided by the delegated production company and the other production companies established in France, excluding financing provided by the co-producer(s) established abroad. This funding is determined in consideration of the stipulations of the co-production contract insofar as they correspond to the size of the contribution made by each of the production companies and the risks assumed by them.
