Selective financial aid is awarded after completion for the production of long-term cinematographic works.
Works are eligible for post-production support if they:1° Meet the general conditions set out in sub-section 2 of section 1 of this chapter;2° Are in original French or, if at least two different languages are used, are works in which French or a regional language in use in France is the language used most often. Cinematographic works that have received aid for audiovisual production are not eligible for post-production aid unless the conditions set out in 2° of article 211-53 are met.
Post-production grants are awarded on the basis of the nature of the subject and the characteristics, qualities and production conditions of the works.
Post-production grants are awarded on presentation of a distribution contract for the works, concluded with a view to their screening in cinemas.This contract must be concluded with a distribution company that has distributed at least three cinematographic works in the two years preceding the application for post-production grants.
