Paragraph 2: Award procedure and conditions

The granting of aid is the subject of two decisions:1° A provisional decision accepting the principle of granting aid;2° A definitive decision to grant aid once the amount of aid has been determined.

The provisional decision is taken on the advice of the Commission des aides à l’écriture et à la réécriture de scénario, after consultation with reading committees in accordance with the procedures set out in 1° of article 122-5.

The final award decision is taken after the amount of aid has been determined, following the opinion of a costing committee made up of the chairman and vice-chairman of the commission and representatives of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

The maximum amount of support is €21,000, including a maximum of €9,000 for the author.

The aid is awarded in the form of a grant.The aid is paid in two instalments. The first instalment, which may not exceed 50% of the total amount of the grant, is paid when the grant is awarded.
