Subsection 1: Direct allocations based on the production conditions of cinematographic works

Direct allocations are granted in addition to the sums invested by distribution companies under article 222-7 when the following conditions are met: 1° The cinematographic works are French-initiated; 2° The cinematographic works have a production cost of less than €8,000,000.

For cinematographic works with a production cost of less than €4,000,000, the amount of the direct allocation is equal to 50% of the amount invested by the distribution companies. Direct allocations for distribution are subject to the same payment and repayment conditions as investment allocations for distribution, of which they are an accessory.
