Selective financial support is available for preparatory work for the creation of immersive works.
Aid for the pre-production of immersive works is awarded to legal entities that assume the functions of a delegated production company. Aid may be awarded to several legal entities acting jointly as part of a co-production.
To be eligible for support for the pre-production of immersive works, legal entities must meet the following conditions:1° Be established in France;2° Have presidents, directors or managers, and a majority of their directors, who are French nationals or equivalent;3° Not be controlled by one or more natural or legal persons who are nationals of States other than European States, when they are established in the form of a commercial company.
Support for the pre-production of immersive works is awarded on the basis of the following criteria:1° The quality of the writing and the visual proposal;2° The suitability of the project for the targeted broadcast formats and media;3° The technical mastery of the project;4° The coherence of the budget and the financing plan.
Support for the pre-production of immersive works is awarded to help cover the costs incurred during the period from the writing of the project to the start of production of the work, which may include location scouting costs and the production of a prototype, with the exception of operating costs specific to the legal entity.
I.-When the pre-production of a project is carried out solely by one or more legal entities established in France, at least 50% of the pre-production expenditure mentioned in article 321-19 correspond to operations or services carried out in France by companies established in France.
