Selective financial aid is awarded for the production of immersive works, with a view to promoting their distribution on the national and international markets.
Support for the production of immersive works is awarded to legal entities performing the functions of a delegated production company. Aid may be awarded to several legal entities acting jointly as part of a co-production.
To be eligible for support for the production of immersive works, legal entities must meet the conditions set out in Article 321-17.
Works must be subtitled or dubbed in French.
Support for the production of immersive works is awarded on the basis of the following criteria:1° The quality of the writing and the visual proposal;2° The suitability of the project for the targeted formats and distribution media;3° The technical mastery of the project;4° The distribution prospects, particularly for international audiences;5° The coherence of the budget and the financing plan.
Support for the production of immersive works is granted to help defray all production costs and costs aimed at facilitating market access for the work, in particular costs of technical adaptation to the various broadcast media, dubbing or subtitling costs and the production of promotional materials.
I.-When a work is produced solely by one or more legal entities established in France, at least 50% of the final cost of that work must be covered by the expenditure mentioned in article 321-27 corresponding to operations or services carried out in France by companies established in France.
The beneficiary of production aid has a period of twenty-four months from the signing of the agreement to submit proof of production of the project to the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.Exceptionally, and at the reasoned request of the beneficiary, the aforementioned period may be extended for a period not exceeding twelve months, by decision of the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image…
