Subsection 4: Digitisation conditions

The restoration and digitisation of cinematographic works results in the creation of digital files that guarantee the integrity and completeness of the information contained in the original material elements of these works. These files comply with the technical recommendations drawn up by the association known as the “Commission Supérieure Technique de l’Image et du Son” (CST). They are accompanied by the metadata required for their distribution on any digital medium.

For talking pictures, French subtitles are provided in the form of a digital file.
