Subsection 1: Conditions relating to beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of aid for the videographic publication of cinematographic and audiovisual works are publishers of videograms intended for the private use of the public.

To be eligible for aid for the videographic publication of cinematographic and audiovisual works, videogram publishers must meet the following conditions:1° They must be established in France;2° Their chairmen, directors or managers, as well as the majority of their directors, must be French nationals or assimilated;3° They must be up to date with payment of the tax on the physical and online distribution of audiovisual content provided for inarticle 1609…

Public institutions and their subsidiaries are not eligible for selective financial aid.

Videogram publishers can only benefit from aid for videographic publishing of a cinematographic work if the contract for the acquisition of the videographic publishing rights for the work has first been entered in the public film and audiovisual register.

Videogram publishers ensure the exploitation of cinematographic works in the form of videograms intended for the private use of the public in compliance with the provisions of articles L. 231-1 and D. 231-1 to D. 231-5 of the Code du cinéma et de l’image animée.
