The profession of medical regulation assistant may be exercised by persons holding a medical regulation assistant diploma, under conditions defined by regulation.

At the time of issue of the authorisation to practise or the declaration of provision of services, the medical regulation assistant must possess the language skills required to practise the profession and those relating to the systems of weights and measures used in France. Checks on language proficiency must be proportionate to the activity to be carried out and carried out once the professional qualification has been recognised.
The following are determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat: 1° The composition and operation of the commission mentioned in article L. 4393-21 and the conditions under which the person concerned is subject to a compensation measure; 2° The procedures for verifying the professional qualifications mentioned in article L. 4393-23.
