Paragraph 1: Maintenance of fireplaces and combustion appliances

Maintenance includes cleaning, checking that the combustion appliance is working properly and, if necessary, adjusting it, as well as checking the pipes used to distribute heat and supply combustion air.

Maintenance is carried out at least every twelve months. In the event of replacement or initial installation, the first service shall be carried out within twelve months of such replacement or initial installation.
