Article 10-4 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

At all stages of the investigation, the victim may, at his or her request, be accompanied by his or her legal representative and by the adult of his or her choice, including by a lawyer, unless a reasoned decision to the contrary is taken by the competent judicial authority.

When the victim is assisted by a lawyer, the latter may, at the end of each of his or her hearings, ask questions. They may also submit written observations. These are attached to the proceedings.
