Article 1177-1 of the French Code of civil procedure

Within fifteen days of the date on which it becomes res judicata, at the request of the public prosecutor, the decision revoking the simple adoption is entered in the margin of the adopted person’s birth certificate.

Where the adopted person was born abroad, the decision is transcribed onto the registers of the central civil status department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the request of the public prosecutor.

Dans les quinze jours de la date à laquelle elle est passée en force de chose jugée, à la requête du procureur de la République, la décision révoquant l’adoption simple est mentionnée en marge de l’acte de naissance de l’adopté.


Lorsque l’adopté est né à l’étranger, la décision est transcrite sur les registres du service central d’état civil du ministère des affaires étrangères, à la requête du procureur de la République.
