Article 1213 of the French Code of civil procedure

At the request of any interested party or ex officio, in particular where Articles 217 and 219, the second paragraph of Article 397, of Article 417, the fourth paragraph of Article 459, of Article 459-2, the second and third paragraphs of Article 469, 4° of article 483, of article 484 or the article 494-10 of the Civil Code, the guardianship judge may order that the examination of the application give rise to an adversarial debate.

A la demande de tout intéressé ou d’office, notamment lorsqu’il est fait application des articles 217 et 219, du deuxième alinéa de l’article 397, de l’article 417, du quatrième alinéa de l’article 459, de l’article 459-2, des deuxième et troisième alinéas de l’article 469, du 4° de l’article 483, de l’article 484 ou de l’article 494-10 du code civil, le juge des tutelles peut ordonner que l’examen de la requête donne lieu à un débat contradictoire.
