Article 1281-16 of the French Code of civil procedure

On expiry of the time limit for contestation, the auction sale hearing is fixed by the president at the request of the pursuing creditor, at a date within a period of two to four months following the order.

The order is notified by the registry by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the third party purchaser and the debtor.

A l’expiration du délai de contestation, l’audience de vente aux enchères est fixée par le président sur requête du créancier poursuivant, à une date comprise dans un délai de deux à quatre mois suivant l’ordonnance.

L’ordonnance est notifiée par le greffe par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception au tiers acquéreur et au débiteur.
