Article 1323 of the French Civil Code

As between the parties, the transfer of the claim, present or future, takes place on the date of the deed.

It may be relied on as against third parties from that moment. In the event of a dispute, proof of the date of the transfer lies with the assignee, who may prove it by any means.

Entre les parties, le transfert de la créance, présente ou future, s’opère à la date de l’acte.

Il est opposable aux tiers dès ce moment. En cas de contestation, la preuve de la date de la cession incombe au cessionnaire, qui peut la rapporter par tout moyen.
