Article 154-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the purposes of executing the letter rogatory, the judicial police officer may have the operations provided for in Article 55-1.

The provisions of the last four paragraphs of Article 55-1 shall apply. The authorisation provided for in the last paragraph of the same Article 55-1 shall then be given by the examining magistrate.

Pour les nécessités de l’exécution de la commission rogatoire, l’officier de police judiciaire peut faire procéder aux opérations prévues par l’article 55-1.

Les dispositions des quatre derniers alinéas de l’article 55-1 sont applicables. L’autorisation prévue au dernier alinéa du même article 55-1 est alors donnée par le juge d’instruction.
