Article 1894 of the French General Tax Code

The prosecution costs paid by the competent public accountants for items that have been written off due to the recognised insolvency of the convicted parties shall be reimbursed to them on the statement that they report in support of their accounts. The statement shall be taxed free of charge by the judicial court of the department and supported by the supporting documents.

Les frais de poursuites payés par les comptables publics compétents pour des articles tombés en non-valeur pour cause d’insolvabilité reconnue des parties condamnées leur sont remboursés sur l’état qu’ils en rapportent à l’appui de leurs comptes. L’état est taxé sans frais par le tribunal judiciaire du département et appuyé des pièces justificatives.
