Article 1960 of the French Civil Code

The depositary in charge of the sequestration can only be discharged before the dispute is over, with the consent of all the interested parties, or for a cause deemed legitimate.

Le dépositaire chargé du séquestre ne peut être déchargé avant la contestation terminée, que du consentement de toutes les parties intéressées, ou pour une cause jugée légitime.
