Article 211-35 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The weighting coefficient is set at :

– 1 when the cinematographic work obtains at least 80 points;
– 0.97 when the cinematographic work obtains 79 points;
– 0.94 when the cinematographic work obtains 78 points;
– 0.91 when the cinematographic work obtains 77 points;
– 0.88 when the cinematographic work obtains 76 points;
– 0.85 when the cinematographic work obtains 75 points;
– 0.82 when the cinematographic work obtains 74 points;
– 0.79 when the cinematographic work obtains 73 points;
– 0.76 when the cinematographic work obtains 72 points;
– 0.73 when the cinematographic work obtains 71 points;
– 0.7 when the cinematographic work obtains 70 points.

If the film scores less than 70 points, the coefficient is equal to this number divided by 100.

Lorsque l’œuvre cinématographique obtient un nombre de points inférieur à 70, le coefficient est égal à ce nombre divisé par 100.
