Article 212-17 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The beneficiaries of selective financial aid are authors or production companies.
To be eligible for aid, authors must be French nationals or equivalent.
To be eligible for aid, production companies must meet the following conditions:
1° They must be established in France;
2° Their chairmen, directors or managers, as well as the majority of their directors, must be French nationals or assimilated;
3° They must not be controlled by one or more natural or legal persons who are nationals of States other than European States, when they are constituted in the form of a commercial company.

Les bénéficiaires des aides financières sélectives sont des auteurs ou des entreprises de production.
Pour être admis au bénéfice des aides, les auteurs sont ressortissants français ou assimilés.
Pour être admises au bénéfice des aides, les entreprises de production répondent aux conditions suivantes :
1° Etre établies en France ;
2° Avoir des présidents, directeurs ou gérants, ainsi que la majorité de leurs administrateurs ressortissants français ou assimilés ;
3° Ne pas être contrôlées par une ou plusieurs personnes physiques ou morales ressortissantes d’Etats autres que des Etats européens, lorsqu’elles sont constituées sous forme de société commerciale.
