Article 212-48 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The aid is granted in the form of an advance.
The aid is the subject of an agreement signed with the production company on the basis of proof of expenditure.
When the project goes into production, 50% of the aid is reimbursed on the first day of shooting and 50% when the project is released in cinemas. If the project has not gone into production within three years of the date of signature of the agreement, the aid must be repaid only if the production company subsequently applies for a new grant. In the latter case, 25% of the aid will be reimbursed.

Article 212-48
