Article 232-20 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

When a cinema integrated into a circuit is transferred to another circuit during the amortisation period of an advance, the repayment of this advance continues to be charged to the automatic cinema operating accounts opened for the establishments grouped together in its initial circuit.
In the event of the transfer of a cinema not integrated into a circuit, the sums entered in the automatic cinema operating account of the new owner are allocated to the amortisation of the balance of the advance granted to his predecessor.
In the event of the definitive closure of a cinema not integrated into a circuit, the balance of the advances granted and not amortised at the date of closure is immediately and automatically made payable.

Lorsqu’un établissement de spectacles cinématographiques intégré dans un circuit fait l’objet d’une mutation ou d’un transfert dans un autre circuit pendant la période d’amortissement d’une avance, le remboursement de cette avance continue d’être imputé sur les comptes automatiques exploitation cinéma ouverts au titre des établissements regroupés dans son circuit initial.
En cas de mutation d’un établissement de spectacles cinématographiques non intégré à un circuit, les sommes inscrites sur le compte automatique exploitation cinéma du nouveau propriétaire sont affectées à l’amortissement du solde de l’avance consentie à son prédécesseur.
En cas de fermeture définitive d’un établissement de spectacles cinématographiques non intégré dans un circuit, le solde des avances consenties et non amorties à la date de la fermeture est immédiatement et de plein droit rendu exigible.
