Article 241 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The functions of the public prosecutor shall be exercised there under the conditions defined in articles 34 and 39.

However, the public prosecutor may delegate any magistrate of the public prosecutor’s office within the jurisdiction of the court of appeal to an assize court established within that jurisdiction.

Les fonctions du ministère public y sont exercées dans les conditions définies aux articles 34 et 39.

Toutefois, le procureur général peut déléguer tout magistrat du ministère public du ressort de la cour d’appel auprès d’une cour d’assises instituée dans ce ressort.
