An individual who has acquired French nationality may, by decree issued after the assent of the Conseil d’Etat, be stripped of French nationality, unless the stripping results in the individual becoming stateless:
1° If he is convicted of an act classified as a felony or misdemeanour constituting an attack on the fundamental interests of the Nation or for a felony or misdemeanour constituting an act of terrorism;
2° If he is convicted of an act classified as a felony or misdemeanour provided for and punished by Chapter II of Title III of Book IV of the code pénal;
3° If they have been convicted of failing to fulfil their obligations under the national service code ;
4° If he has engaged in acts for the benefit of a foreign State that are incompatible with being French and prejudicial to the interests of France.
