Article 258-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Excluded from or struck off the annual list of jurors and the special list of alternate jurors are those who have served as jurors in the department for less than five years.

A moral objection of a secular or religious nature does not constitute a serious reason likely to justify exclusion from the list of jurors.

The committee provided for in Article 262 may also exclude persons who, for a serious reason, do not appear to be able to perform jury duty.

Non-compliance with the provisions of this article and the preceding article shall not invalidate the formation of the jury.

Article 258-1
