The proceedings shall be public, unless publicity would be dangerous to public order or morality. In such a case, the court shall declare this by a judgment given in open court.
However, the president may prohibit minors or certain minors from entering the courtroom.
When proceedings are brought for rape or torture and acts of barbarism accompanied by sexual assault, trafficking in human beings or aggravated procuring, punishable by the Articles 225-7 to 225-9 of the Criminal Code, the hearing may be held in camera if the victim who is a civil party or one of the victims who is a civil party so requests; in other cases, the hearing may only be held in camera if the victim who is a civil party or one of the victims who is a civil party does not object.
When in camera proceedings have been ordered, this applies to the delivery of any judgments that may be given on the contentious incidents referred to in Article 316.
The judgment on the merits must always be delivered in open court.
