Article 311-64 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The date of completion of the work is that shown on the certificate of acceptance of the work by the publisher or publishers of television services responsible for broadcasting it or by the publisher or publishers of on-demand audiovisual media services responsible for making it available to the public, meeting the conditions laid down in 1° or 2° of Article 311-8 and who have contributed to the initial contribution mentioned in the same article.
The four-month period is extended to six months when the final cost of the work must be certified by an auditor, and in the case of an international co-production.

Article 311-64

La date d’achèvement de l’œuvre est celle figurant sur l’attestation de l’acceptation de l’œuvre par le ou les éditeurs de services de télévision chargés d’en assurer la diffusion ou par le ou les éditeurs de services de médias audiovisuels à la demande chargés d’en assurer la mise à disposition du public, répondant aux conditions prévues au 1° ou au 2° de l’article 311-8 et ayant contribué à l’apport initial mentionné au même article.
Le délai de quatre mois est porté à six mois lorsque le coût définitif de l’œuvre doit faire l’objet d’une certification par un commissaire aux comptes, ainsi qu’en cas de coproduction internationale.
