Article 314 of the French Code of civil procedure

The principal claim for forgery is preceded by an inscription of forgery made as set out in Article 306.

The copy of the registration deed is attached to the summons, which contains a summons for the defendant to declare whether or not he intends to make use of the deed alleged to be false or falsified.

The summons must be served within one month of the registration of forgery, failing which it lapses.

La demande principale en faux est précédée d’une inscription de faux formée comme il est dit à l’article 306.

La copie de l’acte d’inscription est jointe à l’assignation qui contient sommation, pour le défendeur, de déclarer s’il entend ou non faire usage de l’acte prétendu faux ou falsifié.

L’assignation doit être faite dans le mois de l’inscription de faux à peine de caducité de celle-ci.
