Article 342-11 of the French Civil Code

When the consent provided for in article 342-10 is obtained, the female couple shall jointly acknowledge the child.

Filiation is established, with regard to the woman giving birth, in accordance with article 311-25. It is established, with regard to the other woman, by the joint acknowledgement provided for in the first paragraph of this article. This is given by one of the two women or, where applicable, by the person responsible for declaring the birth to the civil registrar, who indicates this in the birth certificate.

As long as filiation thus established has not been contested in court under the conditions laid down in the second paragraph of article 342-10, it prevents the establishment of another filiation under the conditions laid down in this title.

Lors du recueil du consentement prévu à l’article 342-10, le couple de femmes reconnaît conjointement l’enfant.

La filiation est établie, à l’égard de la femme qui accouche, conformément à l’article 311-25. Elle est établie, à l’égard de l’autre femme, par la reconnaissance conjointe prévue au premier alinéa du présent article. Celle-ci est remise par l’une des deux femmes ou, le cas échéant, par la personne chargée de déclarer la naissance à l’officier de l’état civil, qui l’indique dans l’acte de naissance.

Tant que la filiation ainsi établie n’a pas été contestée en justice dans les conditions prévues au deuxième alinéa de l’article 342-10, elle fait obstacle à l’établissement d’une autre filiation dans les conditions prévues au présent titre.
